Our 300′ x 300′ skid pad has a specialized coating that allows us to obtain skid conditions at a lower speed enhancing the safety profile of our skid pad. We have also added an ABS/non-ABS braking area for accident avoidance training. Skid training is an integral part of all vehicle dynamics training. The skid pad is centrally located and has access to and from the paved road course.

Paved Road Course

Engineered and designed from the start with safety in mind, our newly built paved road course has been professionally designed to be technically challenging with multiple course configurations. We consulted with professional track designers, builders, IMSA and SCCA racecar drivers to ensure these results. This vast history and experience in the sport of racing combined with our expertise in tactical driving has produced a truly unique, purpose built course. The full course is a 1.3 mile adaptable high speed pursuit course equipped with straightaways, flat sections, uphill and downhill sections, section suitable for 90+ MPH emergency speeds, uphill turns, downhill turns, constant radius turns, increasing and decreasing radius turns, flat turns, negative and positive camber turns, S-turns, and two turns that can be constantly covered with water. We have also added a four lane straight-a-way for emergency vehicles and lane changing control drills.

In November of 2010 our paved road course was certified to conduct Department of State training. To date we have run numerous courses for different clients with rave reviews from instructors, students, clients, and government officials.

Off-Road & Unimproved Courses OTF-M


Our Off-Road & Unimproved Courses OTF-M provides miles of unimproved and off-road courses with varying degrees of difficulty to our customers. We have incorporated a separate “off-road obstacle” area that includes extreme ascents/descents, tipping points, straddle trench, stair climb, rock crawl, sand pit, mud pit, confined area negotiation, and a suspended log bridge. This allows the student to gain confidence in their off-road equipment on flat land obstacles before negotiating the beginner, intermediate, and advanced off-road areas. Our unimproved road course includes varying surfaces (dirt, gravel, shale) mimicking road conditions experienced worldwide. Combine this with a variety of terrain, constant radius turns, increasing and decreasing radius turns, change in elevations, high speed straight-aways and you have a truly exciting and challenging course.

The O’Gara Training Facility in Montross, VA has the unique advantage of access to a deep water training location just 3 miles away from our main facility. There we have the ability to train divers, as well as an offshore structure that enables us to a variety of maritime operations, such as response to terroristic or pirate threats.

Active shooter response training is available for a variety of organizations and is designed to provide attendee’s with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively respond to active shooter incident.

Our Defensive and Evasive driving course (based off of our experience working on the Worldwide Protective Services contract) is designed to educate students on evasive driving concepts, skid control, and accident avoidance. Students will utilize both our improved driving course and our skid-pad to learn those skills necessary to effectively drive in compromised situations. We place particular emphasis on ensuring students can understand feedback from the vehicle while driving and developing intuitive skills while driving
